Waikura Joint Stations is structured into three major blocks, Mohau, Pakira & Waikura, with three block-managers and one general manager.
On about 4.000 ha of productive land we do have the potential for about 33.000 su (wintering stock units).
Our agricultural production is based on about 50% sheep and 50% cattle.
From a traditional breeding station we have moved during the last couple of years more and more to a partly finishing station, with putting more endeavour into improving our flats and medium steep paddocks.
With a well-equipped machinery park we are in a position to handle most maintenance and improvement works by ourselves, which is essential for stations in such remote locations.
For all of our eight full-time employees and their families we are providing separate houses. As well we have at our disposal two shearer’s quarters, one guest-house for up to 5 people and three airstrips for fertiliser-application.
